INDUSTRY Proposal

introduction

The Industry space is composed of three rooms, each providing a different take on the Neo-Victorian theme and designed to operate separately or in unison.  This flexible, multi-purpose, venue is composed of a large event space, a restaurant and lounge, and an intimate gallery space.  Our team of experienced, educated nightlife professionals have come together to provide a unique nightlife concept to a city desperately lacking in mid-sized venues, quality music, and proper customer service.
Concept: Design & Inspiration
Industry is a multi-use event space that layers quality music, entertainment, food and drink to create a truly unique experience for the guest.  Industry’s “steampunk theme combines Victorian luxury with the industrial clockwork machinery seen in the works of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells.  Elixir-serving mad scientist bartenders, elaborate light shows, interactive performances, and world-class DJs create a decadent experience that sparks the imagination.

Room descriptions

THE ENGINE ROOM: PERFORMANCE AND EVENT SPACE: This is Industry’s large, primary space, with a  capacity of 600 people.  It’s decorated in dark woods and plush leather, accented with brass pipes, clears, and a field of Edison light bulbs hanging from the ceiling.  It houses a large dance floor, stage, and VIP areas on the mezzanine and behind the DJ booth.  Most importantly, Industry’s state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and video systems make it a perfect home for quality music.

Movable staging, video screens, and built-in mounting brackets allow for the easy addition of seasonal decor, curtains, go-go poles and aerial rigging, creating a versatile space perfect for events such as:
- DJ events  /  live music  /  burlesque shows  /  movie screenings  /  corporate events  /  weddings & receptions

THE LABORATORY: COCKTAIL LOUNGE & RESTAURANT - The 150 person Laboratory is an intimate cocktail lounge with high communal tables, over-stuffed banquettes, and a bubbling chemistry set inserted into the wall.  Its secondary sound system, small stage, and ornate bar have been designed for uses such as:
- private events  /  small plates restaurant  /  mixology bar  /  intimate performances

THE DRAWING ROOM - This small, 50 person room is decorated like a Victorian parlor of oddities, with antique furniture, bookshelves, and exotic devices under glass.  Its separate entrance and location allows it to be used in conjunction with either the Engine Room or the Lab.  Adjustable hanging brackets and movable wall panels easily transform the space for use with:
- art shows  /  photo exhibits  /  pop up stores  /  private dining  /  gifting suites  /  celebrity events

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

VERSATILITY - Venue profit streams include music nights, corporate events, film screenings, burlesque, art shows, concerts and pop up stores.  Rental costs are reduced by bringing necessary equipment and facilities in-house.  Modular components have been designed for low-cost, quick transitions between events.

PROFITABILITY - Expanded business hours, simultaneous events, adaptability, and repeat business through enhanced customer service and data management increase profits and venue longevity.  Rent prices of large spaces in the target neighborhood are less than their Manhattan counterparts, further increasing profits.

SCALABILITY - The three room concepts can be used separately or together in various combinations for franchise expansion into other cities.  Strong professional relationships already exist within key markets

Food and Beverage

COCKTAIL SERVICE - By offering reservable areas instead of the oft-maligned “bottle service,” we strive to create a more inclusive system to draw early business, semi-private events, and appeal to new customers with a unique, quality experience.  Notable products include:
- artisanal cocktail menu
- small batch mixers
- in house beer and table-side mini-kegs
- Victorian absinthe service

CATERING - An in-house catering menu and prep kitchen provides an additional revenue stream for private events.  Simple, quality dishes will result in low food costs and kitchen salaries.  Venue items, created by an experience Executive Chef on a consulting basis, can be used as passed hors d’oeuvres at events or small plates in the lounge
